Nobel Conference Posted on October 6th, 2006 by

Well, the Nobel Conference was a success yet again. The theme, “Medicine: Prescription for Tomorrow,” was certainly a popular one judging by the filled-to-capacity hockey rink and people seemed to really enjoy all of the speakers. I got to work at the conference on Tuesday and, despite the chaos, managed to hear most of each speaker that day. I must say that out of the five conferences I’ve been to, this was by far my favorite — probably due to a combination of the interesting topic and the captivating speakers. However, my favorite part of this year’s conference was hearing all of the wonderful comments from visitors to campus. Working at the registration table definitely filled me with Gustie pride!

On another happy note — it’s homecoming and family weekend!  The campus is going to be busy with all of the different activities that are going on.  I’m mostly excited to put on my Gustie gear and head to the football game, which we are undoubtedly going to win.  All in all — another great week to be a Gustie!
