Veggie Tales: Part 1 Posted on October 16th, 2003 by

Greetings all you Grease Groupies

Location: Cross Ranch, North Dakota (~1 hour north of Bismark)

The sweetest news of this first ever Veggie Voyage of the Krisco Kid is that Aaron and Phil are no longer straining to hear the crackling reception of an ’81 dial-knob radio with blown-out speakers. Oh no, we are now riding in style – six “new” speakers and a tape deck with an actual DIGITAL display! Sure they may have been taken out of old stereos and glued into the door padding, but who’s counting?

Actually, the most important news has do with some minor mechanical kinks we have finally worked out. The Krisco Kid has been silently dripping grease somewhere out the bottom for many miles now, and we just discovered it was related to a plugged up fuel return line. Now, we know what you all must be guessing.and yes, you are correct.there WAS a small-sized prairie dog stuck in our tank! Poor little bugger was desperately deep fat frying all his food stocks for winter. Nothing a little duct tape couldn’t handle.

This means that not only is our rig running on vegetable oil, but now we have stopped leaving a trail of grease on every road we travel. Hahaha, the oil and gas companies will never be able to track us down and take the Krisco Kid away!

Heading west for: the towering peaks of Teton country in Wyoming

Gotta get rid of the 90 pound bison hide,
Phil and Aaron
