Today (Sat) was an exciting day. The players participated in the Junior Amateur tournament. This tournament consisted of 2 players (from different countries) and two sponsors or special guests, competing in a team format. One of our players, Erik Flores, was fortunate to be paired with the US Ambassador to Japan and Mr Takada, the president of Toyota. These two gentlemen were a joy to play with, both were good golfers and very kind to our players. It was exciting when the Ambassador arrived at the golf course, with his entourage, he had 7 or 8 secret service members with him, checking over the premises making sure it was clear. They also rode around on the golf course while the ambassador was playing, it was quite a sight.
Tomorrow is our final practice round, tonight we found out we play with India and Belgium on day one. The guys are excited to get started. I also want to wish a Happy Fathers day to my father and all other fathers across the world!
